The goal of the U.S.-MEXICO FUTURES FORUM is to generate fresh perspectives on a critical set of issues that will be important for each country and central to their relationship. In collaboration with the International Studies Department at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), we will bring together scholars as well as social and political actors who will be shaping policies, ideas and U.S. Mexican relations in the future.

Sergio Aguayo
"Billionaires, Political Parties, Drug Cartels and Mexican Democracy"

Sergio Aguayo is a leading scholar and commentator on human rights in Mexico. He has been actively involved in the promotion of democracy and human rights through such organizations as Civic Alliance and the Mexican Academy of Human Rights. Professor Aguayo teaches at El Colegio de Mexico's Center for International Relations, and is a Visiting Scholar at CLAS this fall.
