Patricia Albers is the author of Shadows, Fire, Snow: The Life of Tina Modotti and the curator of the traveling exhibition “Tina Modotti and the Mexican Renaissance.” Albers also teaches the history of photography at San Francisco State University.
Will Maynez is the Physics Department lab manager at the City College of San Francisco. Trained as a painter, he has spent the last 14 years investigating the college’s Pan American Unity mural and Rivera’s theme of the reconciliation of art and science.
Bertrand Patenaude is a research fellow at the Hoover Institution and a lecturer in History and International Relations at Stanford University. He is the author and editor of several books, including most recently Trotsky: Downfall of a Revolutionary (HarperCollins, 2009).
Alex Saragoza is Associate Professor of History in the Department of Ethnic Studies at UC Berkeley. He formerly served as the Chair of the Center for Latin American Studies and was subsequently Director of the UC Study Center in Mexico.
John Zarobell is an Assistant Curator of Painting and Sculpture at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. He acted as the coordinating curator of the 2008 Frida Kahlo exhibit and has taught at Berkeley, Stanford, Tulane and the University of San Francisco. |
