UC Berkeley-Chile Seed Funds

The UC Berkeley-Chile Seed Funds are funded by Chile’s National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research (CONICYT). Binational teams received grants of up to $30,000 to conduct collaborative research in both Chile and California.

Foreign Language and Area Studies Grants

Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowships provide funding to students to encourage the study of critical and less commonly taught foreign languages in combination with area studies or international aspects of professional studies.

The deadline for application for 2017 Summer and 2017-18 Academic Year FLAS Fellowships is January 31.

Summer Field Research Grants

2017 Tinker Research Grant information and applications now available!

Application deadline is FEBRUARY 20, 2017.

The Center for Latin American Studies sponsors an annual Summer Field Research Grant competition. Summer Field Research Grants fund airfare to Latin America and are available to UC Berkeley graduate students from all disciplines.
