Emily helps organize public educational programs, coordinates social media strategy and assists with the Center's publications. She works with the Vice Chair on development and grant reporting,  identifies viable funding sources and develops strategies to build strong proposals and further outreach efforts.

Emily earned her bachelor's degree in Latin American and Latino/a Studies from Vassar College, where she was awarded the Burnam Fellowship and the Cornelisen Fellowship for Language and Cultural Study. She received her master's degree from the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies at New York University, where she was granted Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowships for Quechua language study in New York and Peru, and is co-author of the first tri-lingual Quechua-Spanish-English dictionary to be published in the United States.
