Considered by many as Alfonso Cuarón's masterpiece, Roma portrays a turbulent year in the life of a middle-class family in 1970s Mexico City, in the context of a social hierarchy where class and race are perversely intertwined. This highly acclaimed film is Mexico’s submission for the 2019 Academy Award for Best Foreign-Language Film. 135 minutes. Spanish with English subtitles.

Co-sponsored by the Center for Latin American Studies and The Mexican Association of Students at Berkeley (MEXASB).
