Event Description

Following the recent death of Eduardo Galeano, UC Berkeley professors and students are gathering for an informal roundtable discussion to reflect on the author’s contributions to Latin American Studies. We encourage attendees to bring their favorite Galeano text to share if they wish.

Speakers

Francine Masiello is the Sidney and Margaret Ancker Chair of Spanish and Comparative Literature at UC Berkeley.

Ivonne del Valle is an Associate Professor in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at UC Berkeley.

Estelle Tarica is an Associate Professor in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese and the Director of the Latin American Studies program at UC Berkeley.
