Congratulations to Charles Briggs and Amy Lerman on being named as new fellows of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.
Charles Briggs is the Alan Dundes Distinguished Professor of Folklore in the Department of Anthropology at UC Berkeley, and a faculty affiliate of CLAS who spoke for the Center in 2022 on Unlearning: Rethinking Poetics, Pandemics, and the Politics of Knowledge.
Amy Lerman is the Michelle Schwartz Endowed Professor of Public Policy and Political Science. She received her Ph.D. at UC Berkeley, and wrote for CLAS as a graduate student, including the article "A New Path for Globalization" from 2003.
