Event Description
The forum will feature representatives from seven social movements in Mexico, including students from Ayotzinapa, mothers of disappeared youth, agricultural workers; members of a teachers union, and those fighting for indigenous rights. The battles being fought against multifaceted forms of state violence in Mexico will be placed in a wider context of human rights abuse, racial inequality, and neoliberalization.
